Bring the Bridge Assistant into a live meeting as a voice participant

In a Bridge-hosted meeting, the host can invite the Bridge Assistant from the Participant panel. It joins as a voice participant, hears the conversation and answers out loud, using the live transcript, connected tools and web search. It leaves after 15 minutes without interaction or after an hour, and the host can add it back at any time.

What changes when the Assistant joins

In a typed Assistant chat, only you see the answer. You type while the conversation moves on.

When the host invites the Assistant into a Bridge meeting, it becomes a participant. It speaks its answers into the call, so a question asked out loud gets answered for the whole room.

How to invite it

The Assistant is invite-only. It never joins by itself, and only the meeting host can bring it in. Other participants don't see the control.

  • Host the meeting on Bridge. The voice Assistant joins native Bridge meetings only. On Zoom, Google Meet or Teams calls, Bridge Agent captures the meeting instead.
  • As the host, open the Participant panel and choose the action to invite the Bridge Assistant.
  • It appears in the meeting as a participant. Live indicators show when it is thinking, using a tool or speaking.

What to ask it

The Assistant hears the meeting, answers questions about the live transcript and can use connected tools and web search. With screen access enabled, it can also see participants and screen shares. These prompts are illustrative:

Moment in the meetingWhat to ask
Someone joins late"Give a 30-second recap of what we've covered so far."
A number is disputed"What figure did Priya give for the Q3 budget earlier in this call?"
Before you move on"List the decisions we've made so far and who owns each one."
A fact needs checking"Search the web for the current release date of that standard."
Wrapping up"Which questions did we raise but not answer?"

Plan around the time limits

The Assistant leaves on its own when it reaches either limit. The host can add it back at any time.

  • Idle timeout: it leaves after 15 minutes with no interaction.
  • Session limit: a voice session lasts up to one hour.
  • Host only: only the host can start or invite it.
  • Plan credits: Live AI runs on the Live AI Credits included in paid plans, so check your plan's usage in Billing.

Habits that make it useful

  • Tell participants before you invite it, so nobody is surprised by an AI voice in the call.
  • Ask about this meeting by name and topic. "What did Sam say about the vendor contract?" beats "what was that?".
  • Check numbers against the transcript after the call before you share them.
  • If a long meeting has a quiet stretch, expect it to time out and re-add it when you need it.

Assistant or a custom agent?

The Assistant is your built-in meeting chat, brought into the call when you ask. A custom agent is a teammate you create, with its own instructions, tools and join policy.

Use the Assistant for questions that come up as you go. Use a custom agent when the same role should show up every time, such as a facilitator or a fact-checker.
