Set your context so meeting AI speaks your team's language
Bridge personalizes suggestions, insights and actions with context at three levels: your account, each meeting and the whole workspace. Fill in your role, team, company and industry once, adjust a meeting's environment and domain when it differs, and have a workspace owner add the shared terms everyone's meetings use.
Three levels of context
Context tells Bridge who you are and what your meetings are about. Each level reaches a different scope, and only Workspace Owners set the workspace level.
| Level | What you set | Who sets it |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your role, team, company and industry | Each person, in Account settings → Context |
| Meeting | Environment (Professional, Personal or Academic) and a domain | Each person, in the pre-meeting Brief or Session Preferences |
| Workspace | Shared context used when generating meeting intelligence | Workspace Owners only |
Start with your account context
Open Account settings → Context. For each of Role, Team, Company and Industry, pick a preset or switch to custom text.
Presets are quick. Custom text, up to 10,000 characters, lets you describe what your role actually covers. It's worth it when a preset label hides the work you do.
- Name your role and what you're responsible for.
- List the teams and customers you meet with most.
- Spell out acronyms and product names you use in meetings.
- Say what you usually need from a meeting, such as decisions, owners or risks.
Example: custom role context
This is an illustrative example for a customer success manager. Adapt the details to your own work.
- "I'm a customer success manager for mid-market accounts."
- "Most of my meetings are onboarding calls, quarterly business reviews and renewal check-ins."
- "QBR means quarterly business review. ARR means annual recurring revenue."
- "After each call I need the customer's open requests, risks to renewal and who owns each next step."
Adjust context for a single meeting
Meeting context narrows what Bridge focuses on in that session. Choose an environment: Professional, Personal or Academic. For Professional or Academic, also pick the domain that fits the conversation.
Set it in the meeting's Brief before it starts. In a meeting hosted on Bridge, you can also change it from Session Preferences during the call.
Add shared workspace context
Workspace context applies to everyone in the workspace, and Bridge uses it when generating meeting intelligence. Only Workspace Owners can see and manage it.
In Preset mode, the field shows the workspace name and no context is applied. Switch to Custom mode to open a notepad and write it.
- What the company does, in a sentence or two.
- Product, team and project names that come up in meetings.
- Internal terms and acronyms, with what they mean.
- Names to spell consistently, such as a product's exact capitalization.
What context changes
Bridge uses context for more personalized suggestions, insights and actions. For example, the action items Bridge suggests after a meeting are based on your context.
Context complements recap templates. A template sets the structure of your notes; context tells Bridge about the work behind them.
Keep it current
- Update your account context when your role or main accounts change.
- Review workspace context when you launch a product or rename a team.
- Remove terms nobody uses anymore.
