Use Bridge with Zoom: capture calls, import transcripts, fix joins

You can bring Zoom meetings into Bridge three ways: send Bridge Agent to the call, record bot-free with the Mac desktop app, or import Zoom cloud-recording transcripts. Bridge Agent needs no Zoom connection. Connecting Zoom is optional and lets the agent skip the waiting room in meetings you host.

Choose how to capture

Pick the option that matches how you meet. Whichever you use, the meeting lands in the same Meetings list, with notes, the Assistant, Memory and spaces available.

All three bring Zoom meetings into Bridge: live capture or imported transcripts.

Send Bridge Agent to a Zoom call

To add it once, click New, choose Capture on Zoom, Meet, or Teams and paste the Zoom meeting URL. Paste the link itself, not the invitation text or a dial-in number.

To add it automatically, connect Google Calendar or Outlook and turn on Agent Auto-Join in Preferences. You can limit which meetings it joins, such as only meetings you host, and choose whether it joins at the start time or 2 or 5 minutes early.

Record Zoom bot-free with the Mac app

The desktop app runs on Apple Silicon Macs. It records your computer's audio, so nothing joins the Zoom call.

  • Select Download for Mac, install the app and sign in.
  • Allow microphone, screen and accessibility permissions, then restart Bridge.
  • When a meeting is detected, use Record Virtual Audio to start recording.
  • To record automatically whenever a meeting is detected, turn on Desktop App Auto-Record in Preferences.

Skip the waiting room in meetings you host

Zoom is the only platform with an optional connection under Integrations, then Meetings. Connect your calendar, open Integrations, select Manage under Zoom and authorize your Zoom account.

Bridge Agent can then bypass the waiting room in meetings you host. In other people's meetings, their host still admits it. This connection is separate from Zoom Transcripts in Notetakers, which imports Zoom cloud-recording transcripts.

Breakout rooms and the agent's name

Zoom is the only platform where Bridge Agent supports breakout rooms. It's treated like any participant, so it joins the room it's assigned to, manually or at random.

In Preferences, under Agent Customization, you can set the name Bridge Agent shows in Zoom and Teams, and its image.

Import Zoom transcripts you already have

Go to Account settings, then Integrations, then Notetakers, and connect Zoom Transcripts. Bridge imports the transcripts of your Zoom cloud recordings, not the audio or video files.

Pick how far back to import and whether to keep syncing new transcripts. Imported meetings show their source in the Meetings list.

If capture doesn't start

  • Check the host: only the host can admit the agent, and often only the host can see it waiting.
  • Check Zoom's recording setting: if local recording is off, the consent prompt can't appear and the agent leaves. In Zoom, open Settings, then Recording, and turn on record to computer files.
  • Check the link: it must be a Zoom meeting URL, not a calendar description or dial-in number.
  • If the Mac app won't record, check that it has microphone, screen and accessibility permissions in macOS settings.

What to expect on Zoom

On captured Zoom calls, you still get a live transcript and Live AI in Bridge. Use Zoom's own chat, since Bridge's chat panel is only on meetings hosted on Bridge.

Custom agents can't see or hear through Zoom. Hearing works in Bridge-hosted meetings and in-person capture; screen access works only in Bridge-hosted meetings.
