Bridge vs Zoom: hosting, meeting AI and plan limits compared
Choose Bridge if you want the meeting, its live AI, notes and custom agents in one workspace, or want AI notes on the Zoom calls you already run. Choose Zoom if you need large meetings on a free or entry plan, webinars, or phone and chat in the same suite.
The short answer
Bridge publishes this comparison. It compares both products' public documentation and pricing pages, not hands-on testing.
Both products host video meetings and add AI to them. Zoom is a broad suite with meetings, chat, phone and webinars. Bridge is a meeting workspace built around AI before, during and after each call.
- Choose Bridge if you want live AI, notes, memory and custom agents in the same place you meet.
- Choose Bridge if your team keeps Zoom but wants AI notes and agents on those calls too.
- Choose Zoom if free or entry-plan meetings need up to 100 people.
- Choose Zoom if you also need webinars, a phone system or team chat from one vendor.
Plans and limits side by side
Prices are list prices in US dollars per user per month, billed monthly, from each pricing page. Zoom also lists a lower per-month price when billed annually.

|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Starter: host meetings for 5 participants, 60 minutes each; unlimited meeting notes; capture outside Bridge | Basic: 40 minutes per meeting, 100 participants; summaries for 3 hosted meetings a month |
| Entry paid plan | Professional, $20: 25 participants, 8 hours per meeting | Pro, $16.99: 100 participants, 30 hours per meeting, 10 GB cloud recording per license |
| Larger teams | Business, $30: 200 participants, 24 hours per meeting | Business, $21.99: 300 participants, SSO and managed domains |
| Enterprise | 1000 participants, no time limit, SAML SSO | 500-attendee webinars; full PBX phone system; unlimited cloud recording |
| AI notes | Summary, takeaways and action items, plus a speaker-labeled transcript, on every plan | Unlimited meeting summaries and AI note-taking on Pro; 3 a month on Basic |
| Custom AI agents | Custom agents on Professional and above | Not part of Workplace plans; the separate ZoomMate license adds a custom agent builder |
| Other meeting platforms | Captures Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams with Bridge Agent, or bot-free from the Mac app | My Notes takes notes on Zoom, in person and on third-party platforms |
AI during the call
Zoom's Pro plan includes unlimited in-meeting questions and AI chat in meetings. Its ZoomMate license adds AI credits, a custom agent builder, workflows that reach third-party apps, and live audio translation.
In a Bridge meeting, Live AI runs as people talk. Live transcription is included on every plan. Paid plans add live artifacts, structured notes pulled from the conversation, your memory and the web, and let the Assistant and your agents join the call as voice participants.
After the call
Zoom Pro lists unlimited meeting summaries, recording transcripts and custom summary templates, 8 a month. Cloud recording comes with 10 GB per license.
Bridge files each meeting under Meetings with structured notes, the speaker-labeled transcript and the recording. Action items also appear in the Action items list on Home. On paid plans you can export the transcript as PDF, Word or Markdown, and reach your meetings from Claude or ChatGPT through the Bridge MCP.
When Zoom is the better choice
Zoom fits when meeting size and breadth matter most. Its free Basic plan allows 100 participants, where Bridge Starter allows 5. Zoom Pro allows 100 people and 30 hours per meeting; Bridge Professional allows 25 people and 8 hours.
- You run webinars for large audiences.
- You want a phone system, team chat and meetings from one vendor.
- Your organization already standardizes on Zoom, and you only need its built-in summaries.
Keep Zoom and add Bridge
You don't have to move meetings to use Bridge. Bridge Agent joins Zoom calls from your connected calendar or a pasted meeting link, once the host admits it. To skip that step on meetings you host, authorize your Zoom account in the Zoom integration.
Prefer nothing in the call? The Bridge desktop app on Apple Silicon Macs records Zoom bot-free. Either way, the call ends up in Bridge with notes, a transcript and the Assistant, next to the meetings you host on Bridge.
How to test both
- Start Bridge's 14-day Professional trial. It needs no credit card.
- Host one internal meeting on Bridge, and capture one Zoom call with Bridge Agent.
- Compare the notes, decisions and action items from both against Zoom's own summary.
- Check your largest regular meeting against each plan's participant limit before you switch.
