Turn meeting action items into Linear, ClickUp or Notion tasks

Open a completed meeting's Assistant in Bridge and choose Plan and execute next steps. Bridge proposes a workflow plan from the meeting's action items, and agent steps can create Linear issues, ClickUp tasks or Notion pages through your connected tools. You approve, revise or skip each step. The result is only as good as what was said, so state each action item with an owner, a verb, a done-when and a date.

Before the meeting: connect the tool you track work in

Connect Linear or ClickUp from Account settings → Integrations → Projects. Notion is under Productivity in the same list. Each one connects through an OAuth login in your browser.

Bridge respects the permissions you already have in each tool. Agents only touch the projects, lists, pages and tasks you can access. Workflow plans and custom agents need a paid plan.

During the meeting: say action items so they become good issues

Bridge's notes include assigned action items when they were discussed, and the workflow plan builds on them. A vague sentence in the meeting becomes a vague issue. Before you close each topic, restate the action with four parts:

  • Owner: one named person, not "the team".
  • Verb: a concrete action, such as fix, draft, decide or send.
  • Done when: what someone can check to know it's finished.
  • Due date: an actual day, not "soon" or "next sprint".

Example: from a meeting sentence to an issue

Here is an illustrative example. The first row is what people often say; the second is the restated version; the third is what you'd want the issue to say.

StageText
Said in the meeting"Someone should look at the CSV export thing before the launch."
Restated before moving on"Priya will fix the CSV export so dates keep their time zone. Done when the QA file imports cleanly. Due Thursday."

Issue descriptionOwner: Priya. Done when the QA sample file imports with correct dates. Due Thursday. Agreed in the launch review meeting.

After the meeting: generate the workflow plan

Open the completed meeting and go to the Assistant. Click Plan and execute next steps above the input, or choose Workflow from the toolbar menu.

Bridge reads the recap, transcript and action items and adds a Workflow Plan card to the chat. Steps an agent can run through connected tools appear under "I can handle these". Steps for you appear under "For you" as a checklist.

Check each proposed step before you approve it

Treat every agent step as a draft. Read it against this list before you approve it:

  • Right tool and destination: the Linear project, ClickUp list or Notion page where the team will actually look.
  • One action per step: split an item that bundles two jobs.
  • No duplicate: Bridge can pull Linear issues and ClickUp tasks into context, so ask the Assistant whether a matching one exists, or check the tool yourself.
  • Owner and date match what was agreed: open the transcript if the step disagrees with your memory.
  • Readable on its own: someone who missed the meeting should understand the task.
  • Needs connection: connect the integration first, then approve the step.

Approve, Revise or Skip: a decision rule

If the plan goes wrong while it runs, choose Cancel to stop it. If you can't tell whether a commitment was really agreed, review the action items before you build a plan from them.

When a post-meeting agent fits better

A per-meeting plan suits meetings whose action items vary. If a recurring meeting always feeds the same project, consider a custom agent instead. Turn on the Linear, ClickUp or Notion connector and the After every meeting trigger.

That agent runs against the recap and transcript as soon as each meeting ends, including meetings it shouldn't act on. Say in its instructions which meetings count and where tasks go. Check its first few runs before you rely on it.

Two quicker routes for single items

Not every action item needs a full plan. For one item at a time, try these:

  • From Home: the Action items panel lets you send any item to a connected integration such as Notion.
  • During a live meeting: the Assistant's preset actions can create Linear issues from decisions and topics raised so far, or ClickUp tasks from action items raised so far.
