Follow-up email
Subject: Recap and next steps: Riverside Clinic onboarding kickoff
Hi Dana and Theo, Thanks for the time today. We walked through the onboarding plan for Riverside's three locations and agreed to start with the Elm Street clinic, then roll out to the other two once front-desk staff are comfortable with scheduling. What we agreed: - Elm Street goes live first, on November 10. - Patient data will be imported from the current system in one batch the weekend before. - Training covers front-desk staff only; clinicians get a separate session later. Next steps: - Theo will send the data export template by Friday. - Dana will share the list of front-desk staff and their shifts. - We'll book the two training sessions once the staff list is in. Let me know if I missed anything. Talk on Thursday. Best, [Your name]

Dana said it should work but wanted to check with the practice manager.

Theo mentioned that Priyesh handles their data exports.
The recap email, written before you leave the call
The follow-up email is where a meeting turns into commitments. Sent within the hour, it confirms what everyone heard, puts names and dates in writing and gives people a chance to correct a misunderstanding before work starts. Left until tomorrow, it usually doesn't get sent at all.
The Meeting Follow-Up Email Generator writes that email from your transcript. You get a specific subject line, a greeting addressed to the other attendees, a short thank-you and recap, a list of what was agreed, and next steps that say who will do what and by when, followed by one closing line. It is written in the first person as the organizer, in the language of the meeting and in its tone: plain and friendly for colleagues, a little more formal for a client. The sign-off ends with a placeholder for your name, because the tool never guesses who you are.
Below the email, a short "Before you send" checklist points out what is worth a second look: a date that was suggested but never confirmed, a task nobody clearly agreed to, a deck someone promised to attach, or a person who was mentioned and may need to be copied. Only what was said in the meeting goes into the email.
When to send a follow-up email
After a client or prospect call
Account managers and consultants confirm scope, dates and next steps in writing the same afternoon, while the client still remembers the call.
After a kickoff
Project leads send one agreed version of the plan, the owners and the first deadlines to everyone who joined.
After an interview or partner meeting
Recruiters and partnership managers thank people for their time and set out what happens next, without starting from a blank page.
After an internal decision meeting
Team leads put what was agreed on record so nobody leaves with a different version of the outcome.
Frequently asked questions
What should a meeting follow-up email include?
A clear subject line, a brief thank-you, two or three sentences on what the meeting covered, the decisions or agreements, the next steps with an owner and a date for each, and a line inviting corrections. Keep it short enough to read on a phone.
How soon should I send a follow-up email after a meeting?
Within a few hours, and the same day at the latest. People remember the conversation, so corrections come quickly, and the owners see their tasks before the week moves on.
Who is the email written from?
From the person who ran the meeting, in the first person. When it is clear who that was from the transcript, the greeting is addressed to everyone else. It ends with a [Your name] placeholder so you can sign it yourself.
Will it promise things nobody agreed to?
No. It only uses what was said in the meeting. Steps without a stated owner or date are written without one, and anything that sounded tentative is flagged in the checklist so you can confirm it before sending.
Does Bridge send the email for me?
No. Bridge only drafts it: you copy the email into your own mail app, check it and send it yourself, so nothing reaches the attendees without you. The draft sits at a private, unlisted link that search engines never index, and your transcript is not used to train AI models.
Can Bridge draft follow-ups after every call?
Yes. A free Bridge account records and transcribes your meetings and drafts the recap and next steps after each call, so the follow-up is ready when you hang up. Learn more →
